ब्रह्मानंद करो नही देरी ।४। में शरण पड़ा•

Semantics:

Listen, O Lord, to my plea,

I seek refuge in You, endlessly ||Repeat||

You have bestowed upon me this human form,

Yet, I have not dedicated myself to your worship.

Worldly distractions have clouded my mind |1|

This family, comprised of son, wife, and kin,

Is immersed in selfish desires,

For which I have committed countless sins |2|

Lost in the illusion of Maya,

I failed to recognize Your true form,

Caught in the cycle of birth and death |3|

In this ocean of existence, vast and boundless,

Bestow Your compassionate grace upon me,

Delay not, O merciful one |4

Connotation:

The verses express a plea for divine help and guidance. They acknowledge human shortcomings and the distractions of worldly desires. Despite this, there's a recognition of the need to seek refuge in the divine amidst the cycles of birth, death, and the illusions of worldly life. The speaker seeks liberation from the ocean of existence through the compassionate grace of the Lord.

# 17 Jisko Nahi hai Bodh to Gurugyan kya kare

Bhajan lyrics: jisko nahi hai bodh to
Raag:.               Rekhta taal dadra

Jisko nahi hai bodh to guru  gyan kya kare
Nij roop ko jaana nahi puran kya kare |repeat|

Ghat ghat me bramhjot ka prakash ho raha
Mita na dwait bhav to fir dhyan kya kare|1|
Rachna prabhu ki dekh kar gyani bade bade
Pave n koi paar to nadan kya kare|2|
Karke daya dayal ne manush janam diya
Banda na kare bhajan to bhagwan kya kare|3|
Sab jeev jantuon me jise hai nahi daya
Bramhanand barat nem punya daan kya kare|4|

Word Meaning:
  Bodh= Knowledge of self ;
guru gyan = teachings of master ; nij = self
Puran = Sacred text ;. Ghat = living body
Bramhjot= eternal light ;
dwaitbhav =a  sense that God and Devotee are not one
Dhyan = meditation ; rachna= Creation
Gyani = intellectual ; pave = gets ; paar = last fact
Daya= Mercy ; Dayal= Compassionate Lord ;
Manush janam = Human birth/ life ; banda= devotee
Barat (vrat) = fast ; nem(niyam)= religious practice

Semantics:
         If someone don't understands himself then what else can A Master's knowledge  do?
          If someone do not recognize his own form then what else can Sacred text do?
      Every heart illuminated with the light of One Divine
Even if there is duality in mind then what else can meditation do?
   By seeing the Lord's creation , even the great intellectuals could not cross the knowledge (of Divine)
Then what else can an immature do?
   Merciful Lord gave us a human birth/ life if we devotees doesn't recite God's Name and virtues then what else can God do?
    The man who does not have compassion for all living beings then what else can  virtuous deeds (fasting, charity , religious practice) do?

Connotation:
         Swami bramhanand ji says in this hymn that if a man does not have knowledge of himself. Then reading religious text is useless. Because Sacred text teachs us about self and if we don't know self then reading text is useless.
       The life in the hearts of all living beings is belongs to one God, even after knowing the oneness of Soul if duality remains the meditation is also worthless. Because the goal of meditation is union with God and if we are not experiencing the unity of the Soul of all living beings then how can meditation be possible?
    Even the great intellectuals couldn't know the elementary knowledge of God's creation then we are immature people are helpless about it. So we should chant Lord's Divine name and virtues.
   Our human life is the result of great Mercy of God so it's our duty to worship God.
   We do fasting so that we may gain patience, we do charity so that we may lose greed. If we become controlled by greed and we lost our patience then our fasting and charity are worthless.
   In last swamiji says that we should live restrained life by knowing the self, and we should know the religion by fact, not only  by practicing it.

# 14 Kis Devta ne Aaj mera dil chura liya

Bhajan lyrics: kis devta ne aaj mera dil

Raag: rekhta taal dadra
Kis devta ne aaj mera dil chura liya
Duniya ki khabar na rahi tan ko bhula diya |repeat|

Rehta tha paas me sada lekin chhipa hua
Karke daya dayal ne parda utha diya |1|
Suraj wo tha na chand tha bijli na thi vaha
Ekdum wo ajab shan ka jalwa dikha diya|2|
Firke jo aankh kholkar dhundhna laga use
Gayab tha nazar se soyi fir paas paa liya|3|
Karke kasoor maf mere janm janm ke
Bramhanand apne charan me mujhko laga liya|4|

Word Meaning:
devta= deity; dayal = merciful;
parda= curtain; bijli= lightning; azab= amazing
Shan= glory ;  jalwa= splendor; kasoor= sin

Semantics:
(I don't know, which)God has stolen my heart
I have no more attention in world & forgotten the sense of my body
He always lived with me before, but was hidden
Merciful Lord has removed the curtain
Neither the sun nor moon nor lightning was there
Suddenly (The Lord) showed the most amazing form (of his splendor )
After that I opened the eyes and started looking for that sight
Which was out of sight at first, I have got it again
Forgiving the sins I have committed in previous births
Bramhanand says that  ' God took him in his feet (refuge)

Connotation:
    Swami brahmanand describing the process of self-realization by Grace of God, and says that how great Lord helped him to become a true devotee.
      Swamiji says in this hymn that he was not able & eligible for a glimpse of God and swamiji was also unknown to the real form of God, as like other mortals. But the merciful Lord removed the curtain of illusion  'MAYA' & showed light of true knowledge.
   In Bhagwatgita God telling about it
          "Neither the sun nor moon nor fire can illuminate that supreme self effulgent state, attaining which they never return to this world; that is my supreme abode"
                                      --   Bhagwat gita verse 8 chapter 11
     In short, God can not be seen in worldly light of sun, moon or in any lamp. Glimpse of God only can be attain by divine sight. And only, God can give the Divine sight ( in form of a Guru , as krishna to Arjuna; kapil to devhuti ; shukadev to parikshit )
           In Bhagwatgita we can see it
      "But surely you cannot see me with these physical eyes of yours, therefore I vouchsafe to you the Divine eye, with this you behold my divine power of yoga"
                                              Bhagwat gita verse 6 chapter 15
In last swamiji ji showed his gratitude towards the merciful act of God.
