# 22 Niranjan Mala Ghat me fire din raat

Bramahanand bhajan

Semantics:

The unseen prayer beads rotate within our chest,

Day and night, they find no rest.

With every breath, they rise and fall,

Yet mortals heed not this divine call,

 And squander their lives, unblessed.

Our soul chants Soham without tongue or teeth,

An endless hymn, an eternal wreath.

Through eight prahars, in sleep or wake,

This sacred recitation we partake,

A seamless rhythm beneath.

"Hansa Soham, Soham Hansa," our spirit's refrain,

A ceaseless cycle, a heavenly gain.

The Satguru reveals the hidden lore,

Guiding our minds to a tranquil shore,

Where focus and peace remain.

Brahmanandji proclaims, in morning's light,

Yogis who meditate attain pure sight.

Salvation's grace they find,

Never to reincarnate in this worldly plight,

Their souls forever aligned.

Connotations:

This bhajan describes the continuous inner process of self-realization that runs in harmony with our breathing. Swamiji speaks of the 'Niranjan Mala,' an invisible string of prayer beads, constantly recited by the soul with the mantra 'Hansa-soham-hansa,' never ceasing. Swamiji explains that true Yogis are aware of this 'Niranjan Mala' and through this understanding, they achieve salvation. The Sadguru imparts the knowledge and techniques of meditation, and through self-realization, the cycle of reincarnation ceases, granting the seeker 'Moksha' or liberation. This is detailed in the "Dakshina murti Samhita."

The mantra 'Hansa-Soham-Soham-Hansa' translates literally to 'The One that I am.' In the natural rhythm of breathing, the Jiva intones this profound Ajapa Mantra. Through the grace of the Guru and the dedicated practice of this sacred Vidya, one can achieve liberation from the fetters of worldly existence.
